PDF flyer with ScheduleTuesday, March 10, 7:00 pm, Mumford 133 Film Screening: Shake Hands with the Devil (2007) Based on Canadian General Romeo Dallaire's autobiographical book Shake Hands with the Devil: The Failure of Humanity in Rwanda, this film recounts Dallaire's harrowing personal journey during the 1994 Rwandan genocide and how the United Nations failed to heed Dallaire's urgent pleas for further assistance to halt the massacre.

Wednesday, March 11, 12:00 pm, Memorial Union, N201/202 (Mark Twain room) Lunch presentation: Brigit Matthiesen, US Government Relations, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters “US/Canadian Businesses – A Collaboration of Economic and Global Competitiveness.” Birgit Matthiesen, Special Advisor to the President, US Government Relations, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters will speak on the unique economic partnership between the US and Canada, the world's largest and most comprehensive trading relationship. Free pizza and soda provided.
Thursday, March 12, 12:00 pm, Memorial Union N232 Lunch grants workshop: Colleen Duke (Academic Relations Officer, Canada Consulate Chicago) Colleen Duke will present information on Canadian Studies research and instructional grants, Canada Fulbright, and SWAP program available to academic researchers. Thursday, March 12, 7:00 pm, Mumford 133 Film Screening: Bon Cop, Bad Cop (2006) When a dead body is found hanging on top of the sign demarcating the Ontario-Quebec border, police officers from both Canadian provinces must join forces to solve the murder. David Bouchard (Patric Huard) is a rule-bending, francophone detective for the Sûreté du Québec, while Martin Ward (Colm Feore) is a by-the-book anglophone Ontario Provincial Police detective. Although both detectives are bilingual, they must resolve their professional and cultural differences as well as their bigotry and prejudices.
